rev. tonya d. jackson

Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Tonya is the first in her family to graduate from college, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rider University and a Master of Divinity from Drew Theological School, where she focused her studies on pastoral care. Her ministry is one of presence—meeting people where they are, holding space for grief and growth, and honoring the sacred worth of every individual.

Her personal journey has evolved into a source of strength and inspiration. The lessons learned from overcoming obstacles now infuse every aspect of her life. As a care provider, she brings a wealth of life experience and a deep understanding of transformation to those she guides, embodying resilience and hope with every encounter.

Through A Time For You LLC, Tonya offers one-on-one spiritual support, grief circles, educational workshops, and community gatherings with a special focus on supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized communities. Her work is grounded in the belief that healing is not linear, but it is possible—and everyone deserves a safe space to be seen, heard, and restored.

Tonya brings over two decades of experience in corporate compliance and community advocacy into her spiritual care work, combining structure with soul. She is also a storyteller and creative, using writing, crochet, and spoken word to weave together themes of survival, resilience, and sacred transformation.

Her guiding affirmation is simple yet powerful: “You deserve a time for you.”
And through her ministry, she helps others claim it fully, freely, and without apology.
